jochen	a058cad735	mounts: the SMB login is typed as one line at the desk's prompt (issue 379) ... The secret smb-credentials was an INI file alone, which the desk's one-line prompt (secret ask, hq ADR 0277) cannot type: on the desktop the Pi's source said "line 1 is not key=value inside a [section]". A login is now also one line, `[recalbox] username=root password=…`, password last and to the end of the line so it may hold spaces and `=`; the file form still reads, and a file may mix both. A line the module cannot read is refused with the form it expected, never with what was typed, and a login without a username is not answered. The source's "login is not given" says the desk verb and the line to type.	2026-10-10 15:50:56 +02:00

jochen	02eab5aa8e	mounts: test the clearing loop, the look's own clearing and a disk's presence; clear only a taken-over unit's earlier failure; clear and re-arm an automount that gave up; refuse a transient unit of the same name (review of #162)	2026-10-09 14:43:16 +02:00
jochen	0f330fc57d	mounts: clear a failed mount of its own whose source was away, and the failure of a unit it takes over, so neither is said as the machine's own failed unit (hq ADR 0263 rules 4 and 6)	2026-10-09 14:26:01 +02:00

jochen	d5adc1d525	Make mounts refuse what it could break: data the mesh keeps, a busy or non-empty mount point, its own share, and a mount that is not its source; say each node's wants so the server exports only to them (review of #136)	2026-10-08 20:16:27 +02:00
jochen	2b1b9b0235	Let mounts write each share's mount and automount, so no node depends on a hand-written fstab line (hq ADR 0263) ... A machine mounts what its assignment names: a node's share from the provision nfs-share, whose path it reads from nfs-server's state on the bus, and occasional sources (an SMB device, a disk) whose absence is a state, not a fault. apply writes and arms the unit pairs as root; watch tries each source and judges the health; the operator's fstab lines are taken over only through adopt, on their word, once the replacement is armed. SMB logins are an outside party's secret, given with secret accept.	2026-10-08 18:36:01 +02:00
