jochen	7ad9e531d4	Name no node in cups's, nats's, mesh-watcher's, mesh-files's, dunst's and desk-channel's fixtures (issue 1838)	2026-10-22 21:31:08 +02:00
jochen	2a16d39a3d	dunst: a tap chooses a notification's action, so a touchpad can answer the desk (hq issue 360) mesh/merge-gate fail: builds dunst → g14, shanks; no bus step; 2 problem(s) the change brings; the first: a machine (f35): nothing could be sent to it with… Details mesh/repo-check pass: its merge-check.sh passed, each part in its toolchain: merge-check.sh (go), merge-check-typescript.sh (typescript) Details mesh/delivery superseded: a newer head of the same pull request Details The actions sat on the middle click, which the operator's touchpads cannot give, and the context menu named dmenu, which dunst's PATH does not hold. The left click is now do_action, close_current (one action runs, several open the menu, none closes), the menu is rofi, declared as a package, Super+N opens it from the keyboard through i3's contribution, and send refuses the token default, which dunst would run at a tap without the menu.	2026-10-10 00:07:07 +02:00
jochen	d83711f11e	Take only acknowledgements from a desk click, and make each answer a one-time ticket mesh/merge-gate pass: builds dunst, messenger → g14, novox, shanks; no bus step; every machine composes with the change as it did without (4 of 4 compose) Details mesh/repo-check pass: its merge-check.sh passed Details mesh/delivery-group group fix/notifications-after-review ready: every member ready, and composed together they pass Details mesh/delivery superseded: a newer head of the same pull request Details Review found that any process of the operator's account can choose a dunst action, so a click could release or stop a delivery in the operator's name; that tokens lived for ever; that a warning's answers died in ten seconds; and that a restarted notifier left dead buttons (hq ADR 0258).	2026-10-08 14:38:24 +02:00
jochen	f00b5a19b1	Say what the operator needs to do, keep quiet what needs nothing, and take answers from the desk mesh/merge-gate pass: builds dunst, messenger → g14, novox, shanks; no bus step; every machine composes with the change as it did without (4 of 4 compose) Details mesh/repo-check pass: its merge-check.sh passed Details mesh/delivery delivered Details mesh/delivery-group group feat/plain-notifications merged: every member is merged Details The operator could not tell from a notification whether to act, nor act without opening a session. Each message now opens with a verdict, a warning that needs nothing is not sent, and a notification offers answers the messenger performs through their seat verbs; dunst's send gains actions and says the chosen one (hq ADR 0253).	2026-10-08 13:57:33 +02:00
