mesh-tools	9652b2d5ce	Feature 57 (config and provisioning): modules declare config and provisions, their files rendered from templates; synced with main (issues of feature 57, 874)	2026-10-16 07:37:43 +00:00
jochen	d745a4d31e	artifact-store-tools: say an image a definition pins is named by a definition, under any name the store has had (issue 323) ... No record names an image the mesh did not make, so one a definition pins under an older name of the store read as unrecorded, the same word as an image nothing uses. The tool now reads every definition through the catalogue and says named-by-a-definition with the module. The store's older names are the mesh's setting older-store-names, since a catalogue names no installation.	2026-10-12 14:47:06 +02:00
jochen	2dffc48c81	Count a platform manifest as its index's, and list the unrecorded copies of upstream images ... The store's tools counted each platform of an upstream image apart from its index, so a kept copy read as unrecorded and a let-go index's bytes were never counted as freed. The copies no record names are now listed for the controller's mirrors verb, and a dry run says what stays yet names a platform collection would take (hq ADR 0257, issue 321).	2026-10-08 14:11:02 +02:00
jochen	24ce702360	Move the artifact store's tools into a module beside it, as the controller requires ... A module that provides the artifact store cannot build an artifact: building publishes to the store, so the store would be needed to create itself, and the module check refuses it. The tools become artifact-store-tools, assigned beside the store, and read manifests from the store's files through its container as they already read the listing, so they need no address for the store's door. Named for the artifact store, because "store" alone is the database server (hq glossary).	2026-10-08 12:04:33 +02:00
