mesh/repo-check checking again: the gate refused `unknown` because the controller judged with a node-engine validator pinned before mesh-host #117; mesh-co…
Every directory and archive resource carries `unknown`: move-out for a home folder whose program writes nothing there (the node-engine, delivered in mesh-host #117, moves the rest to ~/.local/state/mesh-moved/<module>/ with a list), module for ~/.ssh and ~/.claude, program elsewhere; `knows` keeps what a program or the operator relies on (powerlevel10k's compiled files, i3's scripts and the asus/g14 drop-ins, dunst's slack rule, betterbird's records, node-env's forge credential, issue 1033). Two shared folders are no longer declared. Each module's README says it. checks/owned holds every manifest to it; checks/sshdir stays while main's merge check runs it (issue 1035). Tests that pin a manifest follow the new key only. Reviewed in three rounds.
openrazer (the official driver, daemon and library), polychromatic (the
AUR tray, kept as found; its i3 line moves out of the i3 module into its
own node-display-session contribution), forticlient (the AUR VPN client:
its service declared, its configuration never read) and nm-applet (the
desktop half of NetworkManager, apart from the server-side module).
The openrazer daemon fails on both workstations because the account is
not in the openrazer group; openrazer_check names it and the README
carries the one-off step, since the account's user resource is zsh's.
desktop.go learns to tell a program from another sharing its 15-character
command name, so polychromatic's tools never count or end themselves, and
a copies test holds the six carriers to one text.
rofi, clipmenu, feh, i3status-rust and the laptop's model module wrote files into i3's config.d,
naming no dependency on the window manager. They now contribute their lines; i3 places them under a
line naming each module, and config.d is the operator's alone. The catalogue-wide test composes the
contributions as the controller does and checks the whole with i3 -C.
lemurs leaves the session a stdout nobody reads, so a program writing to it dies of EPIPE.
i3lock-color provides i3lock, so with it still installed the host saw i3lock as present,
skipped the install and then removed the only locker; removing it first lets the same
apply install i3lock.
It requires x11-display and contributes exec i3 to xinitrc's last slot, and
XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP/XDG_SESSION_DESKTOP to the environment. It owns
~/.config/i3/config, ending with the config.d include where other modules drop
their files, and /etc/lemurs/wms/i3, which runs the session's start.
Over today's identical config it drops the dead lxpolkit, the D-Bus-activated
portal, the xrdb merge xorg now does, and the execs that XDG autostart already
started. It sets JetBrainsMono Nerd Font, runs i3-sensible-terminal, and declares
dex, which the desktop lacked.
The tools speak i3's IPC: the seat's reload, workspaces and windows, and focus,
move, layout save/restore, exec, kill, bindings, config check, marks and the
scratchpad. A watcher in the bundle (ADR 0198) replaces the predecessor's inotify
script and user unit. It reloads only a configuration i3 -C accepts, and at its
start whatever i3 has not loaded.
