The legacy key form placement.<node> is gone from the client, so the readers and their fixtures lose it. The check noplacement
now also refuses the assigner's retired names in a manifest.

It could not be changed at all: propose refused a name set there and never replaced one. The ask now says plainly that
it replaces or removes the registered section and binds its text's digest; on Approve every node renders the new text
in the place of the old (a removal leaves it out); a replacement keeps the section's own heading form (issue 340 note 14).

A member's go.mod names the oldest version a module accepts; the check builds the group's own heads whatever it names. go.sum lines of mesh packages are left out.

Every module that imports mesh-sdk requires its group head; each requires the mesh-contracts seats and clients it
imports, and mesh-contracts/go through the SDK's seat list. The placeholder versions are gone.

buildstep's generated.go and generated_test.go and claude-code's config_test.go reached the join
unformatted: the second of a kind, which no check caught since each module's tests hold only themselves.
All three are formatted, and checks/gofmt refuses a Go file of the catalogue gofmt would change.

mesh-sdk holds neither asks nor asker, nor the vault's answer types, and mesh-delivery's
sdk/views is mesh-sdk's go/views (a1-progress.md, the rewrite map for the join): thirteen
modules switch to the operatorchannel contract and client, mesh-sdk's channel package and
meshvault, with go.mod requiring each at the group pin (nats: meshbroker too). The gate
holds the checks mesh-sdk dropped (an ask's id is its key's asking, at least one option),
with a row that fails without them; claude-code refuses a router record whose times do
not parse, as its JSON decode did, with a row.

The controller is not placed (ADR 0590), so its tools, modules, nodes and
node verbs answer nothing. claude-code now reads the seats' verbs from the
seats' contract, the placed modules' replaces from the indexer's manifests,
and the machines and where modules run from mesh-placement's placement; the
rendered instructions name the seats that own each job (issue 1126 B13).

A test that slept a fixed time and then asserted what a goroutine, process or
watcher did failed under the checker's load. Each now waits for its positive
evidence (a started baseline, a call counted, a state reached) within 30 s, and
the concurrency-limit tests meet at a barrier instead of overlapping by sleep.

mesh-provisioner, mesh-config, mesh-issues and mesh-healers need KeptState.Follow; mesh-build-go, -image and -node the
retry of a state write the bus delivered to no one; claude-code asks.Condition; mesh-vault the credential forms list.
Each passes go vet, go vet -tags integration and go test on this pin, built with no go.work.
The file gitea-read.secret was declared with no owner, so it was root's at 0600; claude-code's tools run in the
node's runtime as the operator's account and could not read it ("permission denied", ~870 times a machine), said
only in the journal. A file a bundle reads is the runtime account's only when a word of the bundle names it
(catalogue givenTo); this one was found through MESH_CLAUDE_CODE_STATE alone.
Quick fix: name the file with the bundle word MESH_CLAUDE_CODE_FORGE, which the reader now uses. Thorough fix: the
same, plus a failure to place the credential raises a warning condition of the module on the operator-channel seat,
once per reason, cleared when it places again. Chose thorough: the fault ran unseen for days. A change of the
credential now restarts the node's runtime, as for every file a bundle word names.
claude-code's mesh-sdk pin moves to 2da0de75 (main's), the first with asks.Condition.

writeRefusalCounters wrote "{}" and, since it now routes through fsys
(this branch's earlier commit), created the waits folder on every single
stop, even for a session that never had a wait: one counter file per
session id, piling up on a node that uses the wait list at all. It now
removes the file instead of writing empty counters, a no-op when there
was never one to begin with, so a stop with nothing to record leaves
neither the file nor the folder; a refusal still writes it, and the
stop right after the wait is done (or let through) removes it again.
issue 1749: AdoptName reset both session ids' refusal-counter files with
os.WriteFile, bypassing fsys; on a node whose agent has its own account
(ADR 0266) the module runs as the operator's account and cannot write
into the agent's home directly, so the reset silently failed. writeRefusalCounters
now goes through fsys (MkdirAll then WriteFile), as every other write into
the agent's home does; it is also called from the Stop hook itself, which
already runs as the agent's own account, where fsys is its zero value and
behaves exactly as the plain write did before.
issue 1757: the Stop hook's suggested watched and said calls left out `by`,
which claude_code_wait requires on every op, so a session following the
suggestion word for word was refused. Both now carry "by" from the wait's
own By field (already kept per wait since issue 1629). The SessionStart
hook's suggested adopt call already carried by; added a test for it too,
alongside the Stop hook's two, each extracting the exact JSON the hook
prints and feeding it back to the tool's own dispatch to prove it is
accepted as printed.

The Stop hook treated a missing waits file exactly like one that could
not be read: a notice on every stop of every session with no waits —
the normal state, not an exceptional one. DecideStop now treats
os.ErrNotExist as the ordinary case of no open waits, silently; the
notice is still said for a file that exists but cannot be read or does
not parse.
ADR 0490 §1 keeps waits under a name, but the file a hook reads is kept
per session id: writing it from only the name an op just acted on meant
a second name bound to the same session id had its waits silently drop
out of enforcement the moment the first name was touched, and adopting
one name away emptied the id's file outright even when another name was
still bound to it. Every write now rewrites a session's file from the
union of every name currently bound to it (sessionWaitsUnion), adopt's
rewrite of the superseded id included.
Also: each atomic write gets its own temp file name, so two writes to
the same path can never interleave on one; adopt clears the refusal
counter of both the superseded and the adopting session, so a fresh
three-strikes count starts under the new binding; and list is read-only
again — it no longer claims an unbound name or refuses a session that
is not (yet) the one bound to it, and instead says who currently holds
the name.
