mssql disables the login, mongodb takes the user's roles, minio revokes the key and keeps the bucket,
mailu disables the mailbox, gitea prohibits the login instead of purging the user and their
repositories, umami keeps the website. Each provider's create already enables what this locks.
The bundles refactor took ADR 0188 on main, so minio's comments cite 0201.
The sdk is 0.1.7 after the same rebase, and minio needs the `derived` field
it carries.
serves.s3-bucket.bucket is ${consumer:as:dns}; the provisioner uses what it
is given. nextcloud, invoicing and photos ask for ${bound:s3-bucket:bucket}
instead of naming mesh-novox-* literals, which also named this node.
bucketFor and the long-dead accessKeyFor are gone.
Every module named its events the way the old bus spelled a routing key —
`module.<module>.<verb>`. Design 29 says a module names an event locally and the
mesh works out where it lands, so all 37 were stale against a rule already
decided. On the new bus that derives into a namespace belonging to a module
called "module", so no cross-module subscription in the mesh matched anything:
nothing failed, nothing reacted (novox/hq 04-ISSUES/127).
36 manifests converted, and 43 files of module code with them. The code mattered
as much as the manifests: the runtime builds the subject from what `emit()` is
handed, so a converted manifest with unconverted code would have had the
permission and the subject disagree.
Three things the new check found on the way:
- `photos` emitted an event its manifest never declared, which the new bus refuses
outright. Declared.
- `showcase` waited for an event nothing emits, so its demo could never be
triggered — only `showcase` may publish under its own name. It emits both halves
now.
- `distribution` declared an event named after a different module. It emits
`image.pushed` under its own name. An event about a *role* belongs on the seat,
where the name outlives whoever holds it, but the sdk has no way to publish on a
seat yet, so that stays recorded rather than declared.
The audit logger's "everything" pattern is `**` rather than the old bus's `#`.
holds() for postgres, mssql, mongodb, minio, lavinmq, mosquitto, mailu
and gitea, so the harness makes again a login the backend lost (hq issue
120). Each checks the mesh's password as the consumer presents it, or
compares it read-only, and returns false only when the backend says the
credential is absent or wrong; an unreachable backend throws.
redis, postgres and minio adapters drop generatePassword + the returned credential:
each creates the resource under the login the mesh derived (`as`) with the password
the mesh minted (`p.password`). minio's client gains a secret-key argument so it sets
the mesh's secret rather than generating one. umami (analytics) is re-pointed at the
new contract too; its siteId return is a data-provision concern ADR 0053 scopes out.
Proven: mesh-lab provider-uses-mesh-credential green — redis creates the consumer's
login with the mesh's password, the consumer authenticates (PONG), no seal key set.

The review found minio's provisioner emitting with a bare await, which throws
when no broker is bound (a provisioner is not yet a runtime — ADR 0052) and so
fails create/remove. Wrapped like the other providers: the event is logged and
dropped, the bucket still made. The real fix — the provisioner carrying a broker
credential — is ADR 0052.
Object store, an s3-bucket provider. Client ported with no npm deps: S3 data
plane over fetch + SigV4 (node:crypto), scoped access keys via the mc CLI (the
admin API needs an Argon2 payload node built-ins can't make — the honest port
hal also used). Tools: list buckets/objects, bucket info, presigned url. The
provisioner makes a bucket + scoped key per grant and emits
module.minio.bucket.created/removed (the secret stays off the bus). Typechecks;
manifest parses.
(Trimmed the generated self-consuming ledger: a provider need not subscribe to
its own emits.)
