Issue 955, ADR 0409 clause 1. After #340-#342, g14's operator account had two Host novox.internal entries (the mesh's 00-mesh shell login, and ssh-client's 10-forge with port 222), so the operator's ssh novox.internal went to the forge on port 222 and was refused.

  • gitea's forge-account provider adds ssh_alias (mesh-forge) and host_key to each entry; known_host and ssh_base keep their old values so a machine whose ssh-client has not moved yet keeps working during the delivery (dropped later, ADR 0409).
  • ssh-client: Host mesh-forge / HostName <ssh_host> / Port / HostKeyAlias mesh-forge / User git / IdentityFile / IdentitiesOnly; known_hosts line mesh-forge <host_key>; git rewrites the forge's https address to ssh://mesh-forge/.
  • Tests updated; the render test failed before the change.

Reviewed (larger model) in 2 rounds, approved at 173d2f4 (tree 7bdbfd0); this forge commit carries the same diff. ADR 0409 clauses 2 and 3 (the key in the agents' account) wait for issue 989.

Issue 955, ADR 0409 clause 1. After #340-#342, g14's operator account had two `Host novox.internal` entries (the mesh's `00-mesh` shell login, and ssh-client's `10-forge` with port 222), so the operator's `ssh novox.internal` went to the forge on port 222 and was refused. - gitea's forge-account provider adds `ssh_alias` (`mesh-forge`) and `host_key` to each entry; `known_host` and `ssh_base` keep their old values so a machine whose ssh-client has not moved yet keeps working during the delivery (dropped later, ADR 0409). - ssh-client: `Host mesh-forge` / `HostName <ssh_host>` / Port / `HostKeyAlias mesh-forge` / User git / IdentityFile / IdentitiesOnly; known_hosts line `mesh-forge <host_key>`; git rewrites the forge's https address to `ssh://mesh-forge/`. - Tests updated; the render test failed before the change. Delivery novox/mesh-catalog@661b83249c2a — delivered since 2026-10-17T00:08:21Z

Delivery plan — builds gitea, ssh-client → ace, g14, novox, shanks; no bus step

  • tier 0: gitea, ssh-client
  • ace: receives ssh-client
  • g14: receives ssh-client
  • novox: receives gitea, ssh-client
  • shanks: receives ssh-client
  • gitea provides npm-package-registry, git, gitea-read, forge-account: its consumers are sent again after it
  • gitea keeps data (ADR 0233): what it holds is backed up before it moves
  • ssh-client keeps data (ADR 0233): what it holds is backed up before it moves
  • grants step: if this changes what the bus's user list says (a new tool, subject or user), novox is sent that list alone, every build there kept, before ssh-client is judged on its first machine

Machines

  • gitea on every machine running it: sent
  • ssh-client on every machine running it: sent

Transitions

  • 2026-10-17 00:02 (new) → proposed (announced): novox/mesh-catalog#343's head announced
  • 2026-10-17 00:04 proposed → checked (checked): a verdict names this commit and the trunk's head as its trunk commit
  • 2026-10-17 00:04 checked → ready (accepted): the gate passed or warned, and the repository's own check did not fail
  • 2026-10-17 00:06 ready → published (merged): on the trunk its modules follow: merged there, and its walk opened — or nothing for a walk to move
  • 2026-10-17 00:06 published → delivering (go): its walk started: let go by this owner in its group's order, by a person, or on the controller's own path — not a failed walk that carried a later commit for it, after which it waits for a walk of its own commit
  • 2026-10-17 00:08 delivering → delivered (done): its walk is done, carrying its own commit: every machine of its deploy plan passed, or was left as its policy says

The commit's note under refs/notes/mesh-plan keeps every transition: git log --notes=mesh-plan.

statuses say the head and the trunk commit the verdict judged, first, whatever the summary's length (2.445833ms) ✔ a trunk's move puts an open head's merge check out of date, naming both commits, unless a check is on its way (1.329046ms) ✔ a push to a trunk puts every open pull request into it out of date — twenty-five of them — and none into another (6.35281ms) ✔ a trunk that cannot be read is weighed again on the next pass, never recorded half (0.530827ms) ✔ the trunk's move takes its turn after a verdict in flight, and weighs what the forge holds then (0.614675ms) ✔ a verdict judged against a trunk newer than the pass's first read is not put out of date (0.322416ms) ✔ a verdict that landed out of date keeps its account on the pull request (0.312267ms) ✔ a release branch's move replaced by one system webhook (1.405068ms) ✔ a repository's copy of a default webhook at the receiver is deleted, on every page, and said (5.289423ms) ✔ a forge that makes no system webhook is said, never taken as heard (0.762752ms) ✔ the receiver tells what it verified and what it refused (11.658493ms) ✔ a forge that never delivers is said loudly once, and unhealthy, when the poll finds what no event said (0.996422ms) ✔ a forge whose events stop after one delivery is said loudly once per silent spell, and refusals are unhealthy (0.408257ms) ✔ without a receiver by configuration the polls alone watch, healthy; a receiver that failed is unhealthy (0.326694ms) ✔ the polls look every 30 s until events are heard, every five minutes while they are, and 30 s again on a miss (0.315142ms) ℹ
