A check pending redelivery is read before the let-through fetches (none is handed back);
a deleted module is done for the plan's key; the queue an ask came from is let go of when
it ends. Tries say they run under their own id.
A message that reaches a builder's subscription outside a fetch was held unheartbeated for
the whole run of another ask, behind which a delivery waited (issue 1747). The queues the
running ask did not come from are let go of and bound again after it.
ADR 0483: the controller keeps a key per plan in its build phase; holders read it and
take no new check while one is there, but for the oldest check past 30 minutes, one
at a time by a let-through key. The queue says why checks wait.
A node that reports file-references gets the digest and size of each file over 64 KiB that may travel so, and the content is put in
the bucket declaration-files before the declaration is sent; others get every content inline. The controller alone writes the
bucket and node-engines read an object by name (the four grants the node-engine's own fetch makes, no list, no write). An object
goes a day after no node's latest declaration names it. The near-limit condition warns at 75 percent, and a test holds the control
node's declaration, in the reference form, under half the bus's largest message.
A declaration is one bus message and the control node's passed the limit by 2 KB. The size is checked at every send
against the connection's own limit, with a condition from 90% and a message naming size and limit when over; the
export, 138 KB compact of 165 KB indented, is sent compact.
pullScope no longer gives a mesh-host change a Judge, and link.JudgeValidator is gone: the validator is mesh-sdk's, at the controller's pin (ADR 0446 clause 5). An older request that says validator is read as the controller the mesh runs.
The three tests of the controller's own module.json (process, claimed seat, addresses), the Dockerfile and Makefile pin test, the build-agent registry test and the manifest-in-use seat test move with their old package, as tests of mesh-sdk's exported API; a moved test is exempt from failing first.
The unit level ran at 4.4 s of its 5 s bound; this one test took 4.00 s of internal/link's 4.37 s by waiting a fixed 2 s for two things that must not happen. It now waits on the fake watch having handled the entry (two filler entries pass the one-slot channel only after the real one was handled) and on the watches having stopped after a move. Broken in turn (a verdict alone moving the check, a move told twice) it fails.
Unit level at this commit: 2454 tests (6 skipped), 2.84 s (bound 5 s); internal/link 0.36 s. Five slowest tests: TestNoPlanIsWrittenButThroughSavePlansMoving 0.64 s, TestAResolverThatAnswersNothingIsHeldAndSaidInMachineNames 0.48 s, TestNoCodeNamesATableOfTheChain 0.31 s, TestEveryUplinkListsBothResolversItsOwnFirst 0.29 s, TestEveryWordingIsPlain 0.28 s. No test moved to the integration level.
From R3e the gate writes mesh-delivery-gate_pulls and today's bucket stops (ADR 0450 §1). The build agent's manifest
reads both, and a running check's watch listens in every bucket that exists, so a move is heard whichever holds the key.
sourceAge keyed AgainTo's clause-6 refusal on the stream's bus retention
policy, which SEAT_* and other mesh-internal work queues share without
being one of ADR 0436 §6's module streams — so every seat's ask, once
given up on, was refused delivery again. Added a dedicated metadata key
(WorkQueueMetadata), set only by ModuleStream.Stream() when the
catalogue declared retention: work-queue, and read sourceAge from that
instead of the stream's retention policy. New test proves a seat's own
work queue carries neither that metadata nor the restricted one.
ConsumersOf's carried-module path (a module the tool runner carries, no
account of its own — mesh-mail's real shape) was not passing Queues
through, so its work-queue consumer was missing from the composed list
and PruneHeard would have removed what issueProcess made for it. Fixed,
with a test through Users -> ConsumersOf.
Extracted EnsureStream's config building into StreamConfigFor, a pure
function, so the dead-letters test can assert the restricted metadata
EnsureStream would actually send for a work-queue stream instead of
setting the dead letter's header by hand, which passed whether or not
modstreams.go's out.Restricted = true was there at all.

Once chain_moved records the kind, a plan is a key of the rollouts bucket under its id and the open batch is the same key in state assembling. A save refuses a copy another save moved since (the plan's own Revision, kept in its value, counts saves) and keeps the merges the record holds, so a copy read before a merge moved cannot lay it back. The merges a batch or walk answers are the record's held field, with the columns the table had; a merge no plan answers stays, flagged, in the record that held it last, or in the record kept for those. A merge moved to a plan is written to the receiving record first and then taken from the giving one; one found in both is read from the one it entered last and repaired at the next cut. Plans and merges are read from a view kept by one watch of the bucket. A bus that does not answer, a lease lost and a key moved are now not-now like the store being away, so a merge whose plan could not be written is held and handed over again, never acknowledged. The start moves release_plan and batched_merge into the bucket, one kind, counted against both tables.

A mesh-host change and a mesh-controller change that need each other could not both pass their own checks: each read the other at its base. The check now asks mesh-delivery for the group's open siblings into a base of the same name, reads each at its head merged onto its base, builds the judge from a controller sibling's merge in the isolated judge environment keyed on its inputs, and names the siblings in the verdict. With no answer from mesh-delivery the verdict says it could not learn them; a pull request with no sibling is checked as before. TestReplay867 replays the failure.

ADR 0380: giving a module's own secret now asks the operator channel's
tell over the bus, naming the secret, where, when and who asked, and
raises no secret-given condition. Until nothing serves tell yet, or the
controller's grant is refused (link.ErrNothingServes / the new
link.ErrGrantRefused), the condition is raised exactly as before, so the
change composes whichever side of issue 797 merges first. A successful
tell also retires every open secret-given condition. The terminal's own
secret accept now records a hand act too, as the desk path already did.
The controller's bus grant for operator-channel.tell is added to the
composed config (golden fixture updated).
Reverts 45b6c347, which kept nothing of such a message and raised an aged-out
condition: that departed from an accepted decision on a lead's word alone. The
concern behind it (the record keeps the subject, with no age) is its own issue.
A starting controller's sweep read each call it saw running and wrote it back
abandoned unconditionally, so a finish written in between, with its kept answer,
was lost. The mark is now a compare-and-set on the call's record: a finish already
recorded, or racing the mark, stands.
