jschoubben	edf7b3c0bf	Answer review round 1: fresh is only what a take-in newly wrote, a merge keeps the verdict, the check compares with the trunk (ADR 0578, 0579) ... Issue 1585, R1: fresh holds the digests a take-in newly wrote (a new module, a changed manifest); a registered or taken-in module is judged too; a start pass that fails is judged again at the next message heard, no timer. R2: a module's verdict, problems and warnings are carried while its digest stands and are no part of the compare. R3: the checker judges the trunk beside the change and fails on every problem the change case adds, an untouched manifest's included. R4: the judge reads the indexer's kept predefined keys, or the catalogue member's when it changes them. A log line names a package no held module publishes. Every module pins mesh-sdk 62cddf4. jschoubben	0e819eea4d	Never refuse what the judge accepted before: warn, and refuse only a new or changed manifest (ADR 0579) ... Issue 1585: the indexer keeps an accepted manifest accepted when a stricter judge re-judges it, its problems as warnings carried in its value; a merge's new manifests are judged in full. The watchman raises manifest-outgrown as a warning until mended. The checker fails only on a manifest the change adds or changes and names the rest as warnings. Every module pins mesh-sdk 19c2042. jschoubben	4b194215dc	Read and write the seat mesh-placement's state as one key per module and node, converting each node's placement.<node> once at the holder's start (issue 774, research 072 row 37) ... The holder writes a node's changed module keys, then its node key as the commit by compare-and-set at the revision the proposal was laid over, then the placement.<node> mirror for readers not yet delivered. jschoubben	1fef458c5f	Send the controller only the arguments its contract declares, and make a refused call a condition (issue 774) ... The assigner added "why" to every assign, unassign, pin and unpin since 2026-10-28; the controller's seat contract takes no such argument, so it refused each one and did nothing. No approved placement reached the controller's assignments, no bus account was minted for a newly placed module, and the refusal was only a journal line. Quick fix: drop "why" from ControllerCalls. Thorough fix: a contract test that every argument ControllerCalls gives, for every verb, is declared (and every required one given) in catalogue.ControllerVerbs, plus an urgent condition per pair whose call was refused (verb, node, module, the controller's words), cleared when a later call is answered or the two sources agree. Chosen: both here; a caller-side check of arguments against the seat's contract for every seat call belongs in mesh-sdk and is noted for the lead. The warrant stays in the assigner's own record (placement-changed, the hand-act log). Every module pins mesh-sdk eff81f1220e2 (in review).	2026-10-30 21:23:39 +01:00

jschoubben	968b9bf2e6	mesh-delivery-view: a node's candidate answer is shown as the node wrote it; pin mesh-sdk 362a3f1 (issue 1126, probe #532) ... The bodies of each difference never reached the answer shown: the view decoded the node's answer with its mesh-sdk, which did not know the field, and encoded it again. jschoubben	166a918b43	View: build_usage counts keys a build module ended for being left running apart, lists every node a capacity names, and says capacity unknown when mesh-config cannot be read ... Since mesh-sdk #90 a build module ends a left-running key as failed at the moment it notices; counted as finished, such a step put hours into the medians and the time at capacity.
