jschoubben f81e6147ae Revert L3 (mesh-host, merge 0a4c35f): its node-engine removed every held module on novox, the bus server among them, at 08:54 CET on 2026-10-29 (issue 774)
mesh/delivery merged: source.main moved to novox/mesh-host@1ec73915b807
mesh/delivery-group group revert/774-l3 merged: every member is merged
mesh/check being carried to f81e6147aee1 on 0a4c35f731a7 | from mesh-catalog 1555241393fe | novox/mesh-host#174 in group revert/774-l3
L3 lands again with two fixes: a held module is never removed, and the grants cover L3's new subjects.

jschoubben 2a0c428ef9 The last setuid search's start and each library's own take ask are keys of their own, which no number of other acts moves (issue 774, ADR 0563 §2, §4; rev-l3 round 1) 2026-10-28 20:35:33 +01:00
jschoubben 81fa009bf4 The node seat's acts and the engine's own asks are the node-engine's declared state acts on the bus: one key each under its own node's keys, written by compare-and-set, one ask open per path made by a create; acts reads one by its id (issue 774, ADR 0563 §2, §3) 2026-10-28 20:35:33 +01:00
jschoubben 05ff90e3c1 The engine judges its node seat's hand-over and take as it judges the controller's ask, answers root-free for its own machine, and asks a library's take itself once (issue 774, ADR 0563 §3, §4, §6) 2026-10-28 20:35:33 +01:00

jschoubben 2a2be687f3 Keep libraries under groups of their own, and give modules users in them (hq ADR 0328, issue 567)
ADR 0328 supersedes ADR 0325: shared data is a library with one home, kept usable by
its group rather than by ACL entries. The engine now makes each library's group and
each module's user in its libraries' groups; keeps a library's root and requested
sub-paths in its group with group write and setgid on its home, making missing
sub-paths as the root is; waits for the operator's word before touching a root that
holds data, and on the take act walks it by descriptor (no link, same filesystem,
bounded and resumed, files with other names left); holds the containers of a library
whose disk or mount is not there; and puts the tool runner's account in the group.
The ACL keeping, mask repair and watch are gone; an access is again as before ADR 0325.
