catalogue's working set starts empty and a host gives it the seats it read (UseSeats over SeatsFromDefinitions);
the node-engine's verbs and events take the seat's name from the caller. Tests take their seats from seatlisttest.

docker's daemon file and artifact-store-tools' store address move to the image
seat's reach in their templates while their manifests stay the same, so needs
read from the manifest alone let an engine before the reading lose the file.
ModuleNeeds reads the templates TemplatePaths names; the merge message carries
the result per directory for the indexer.

distribution's two windows and the builder's old-form window each closed for good on a read that named
no node (an empty node_haves, an unread placement): the second of a kind (security-upgrade review F3).
delivery.StepWindow over delivery.WindowHeld is the one rule both call; a read naming no node judges
nothing, as a first view's empty answer at revision 0 (ADR 0615).
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KJNrH5EgFXMKKYSrig
An upstream copy kept by the artifact store is named by the holder, upstream/<host>/<path>@<digest>, in the seat form
(container-image-registry/upstream/...) and the older one (artifact-store://upstream/...). InRegistrySeat reads it, InUpstream
reads its host and path, and referenceProblem accepts it for an upstream artifact, so readers stop reading it on their own.

Brings A3's parts receiver and bus adapters, the shared caller lists and builder versions question, a transfer read
back from bus state (0424e87) and catalogue.SeatReference (c10ef07). c974a11 adds nothing: its version_numbered.go
and BuildAnswer.OutOfStep are the join's own. publish stays out (ADR 0627, 1a149d4): packages_list_test keeps the
join's form. TestAHolderTakesAFileInParts is a subtest of TestAFileTravelsInTheParts, so unit tests stay at 476.

delivery.SeriesPackage and SeriesVersion, field for field as the indexer writes them (name, the ecosystem name;
package, <module>/<artifact>), with SeriesPackageKey, IsSeriesPackageKey and a checked encode and decode.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KJNrH5EgFXMKKYSrig
delivery.Verdict carries series, each {module, artifact (or the package's ecosystem name), from, to}, refused when
a field is empty, it changes nothing, or one artifact is named twice.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KJNrH5EgFXMKKYSrig
delivery.VersionNumbered with VersionNumberedEvent and VersionNumberedSubject is the body the builder says when it
numbers a version, so a build module consumes it from mesh-sdk instead of the builder's internal package.
BuildAnswer gains out-of-step, so the builder decodes a trunk build's compare by its field, not by name.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KJNrH5EgFXMKKYSrig
delivery.BuildLogEntry gains out-of-step, an end's alone, as the build module's test step answers it, so the indexer
reads the field from the entry, not the raw message, and its trunk finding can be raised once the builder writes it.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KJNrH5EgFXMKKYSrig
ManifestAccepted.EventID names the module when the digest is empty, so the indexer's own id for a module leaving the
trunk can go and the id lives in one place. Manifest.AcceptedSeries takes the series the package has a numbered
version in and answers the lowest, the series of its first numbered version (design 32), DefaultSeries while none is.

SignAnswer, Signed, EnrolmentTokenAnswer, NodeAccountAnswer and the names SignVerb, SignedEvent, SignedSubject,
EnrolmentTokenVerb, NodeAccountVerb go; mesh-contracts meshvault holds them. The signers state, the kinds, the
signing contexts and the redeem stay: they are the vault module's and the enrolment's, not the seat's.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KJNrH5EgFXMKKYSrig
The gate's and the assigner's asks carry the router's ask as its JSON, so mesh-sdk names no type of a seat
defined whole; the ask's id, options, digest and an option's level are read by the gate, the assigner and the
teller through operatorchannelclient. ViewAnswerFits keeps the asking's check, from the key. The channel and
intake benches are not defined whole: their shapes move to go/channel (ADR 0625 §9).
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KJNrH5EgFXMKKYSrig
buscompose, delivery's builder and step asks, handacts, health and provisions take their seat names from catalogue.
The package-list test refuses any other contracts import, the client seats' names outside catalogue, and the moved
packages (asks, asker, publish) by name; what the group's join still moves (asks, asker, the vault module's name in
delivery and provisions) is listed and only shrinks.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KJNrH5EgFXMKKYSrig
The answer's input is now the object the node-engine seat's contract names, so a decoder without UseNumber turns its
numbers into float64 and a checker re-encoding it for the composer would hand on different digits.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KG7AfSdh6FP8VrBqCn
The seat is defined whole in mesh-contracts (ADR 0613 §3), so mesh-sdk takes its names from there (ADR 0613 §5):
EngineSeat and EngineEvents are nodeengine's, EngineComposeCandidateVerb is nodeengine.VerbComposeCandidate, and
ComposeCandidateAsk, ComposeCandidateAnswer and ModuleComposed are aliases of nodeengine's ComposeCandidateInput,
ComposeCandidateAnswer and Module. The encode and decode checks stay here over those types until the seat has a client
package (ADR 0625 §4). For importers: a module's fingerprint is Fp, and the answer's Input is a JSON object
(map[string]any), not raw bytes. compose-candidate's input is the boolean the engine and the checker read; the seat
set's test takes that correction, and the whole seat's added verbs as da653ce reads them. EngineSeat leaves
testdata/seat-names.txt.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KG7AfSdh6FP8VrBqCn
BuilderBuild.Needs (form:<name>, done keys only) and BuiltArtifact.References (Reference among them, each checked as Reference is) on the delivery layouts mesh-sdk keeps until that area moves (ADR 0613 §3). The node-engine seat's verb and event of ADR 0618 go into mesh-contracts with the seat, not here (ADR 0613 §5).
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KG7AfSdh6FP8VrBqCn
stdio.BusState asks the runtime one buscalls method on the bundle's own bus state; package busstate makes the object
store's put, get, list, delete and fill by the store's local name (A3's request 1, distribution's incoming). Its test
takes the place of one merged into its neighbour, so mesh-sdk's unit count does not grow.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JG73KJNrH5EgFXMKKYSrig
A done key's reference may be <seat>/<module>/<artifact>@<digest> through oci-artifact-registry (a bundle, an
archive) or container-image-registry (an image, an upstream copy); catalogue.InRegistrySeat reads it, InArtifactStore
and Routed read it as they read a kept reference, Recorded keeps it as it is. Every exported name stays. A build's
list of every form (ADR 0624) is lead-47's, on feat/adr0618-reads.

mesh/check pass 85ba0a9a70d8 on 52e564845e44 | unit 3760 run, 4992 kept, 56 skipped | integration 3841 run, 5103 kept, 59 skipped | over bound: unit, …
NodeRecord.ManifestReads (`manifest-reads`) and Module.Needs (`needs`) are additive at Version 1, read leniently by
every running part. checkRule takes 1 to 10 so a later release may number the verb wait and the capability hold;
nothing writes 9 or 10 in this one. kept_until_delivered.go stays: this release still builds beside mesh-host 798d73e,
and its head comment names the next mesh-sdk release as the one that removes it.

ADR 0595 §4, design 25 § 12.2: the bus module hears the accepted verdict
as an event with the entries, never reading the indexer's state; AcceptedOf
builds the body and EventID names it once per digest and judge.
The operator, 2026-11-02: a failed check showed only its first fault; a group's three faults took three runs.
The change's own packages still run first (issue 1289), and nothing after them is skipped.
