jschoubben	45564e69a6	A placed check ask names the packages it tests, so the first ask's other packages are not run or counted again (issue 890, ADR 0552 §4; review round 1)	2026-10-26 14:01:05 +01:00
jschoubben	bb71310337	Let a check ask name what its node needs, decline it where that is lacking, and leave unmet packages to such a node (issue 890) ... A check ask's packages may need something only some build nodes have (mesh-build-node's integration tests read the Node build module's installed toolchain). An ask now names its Needs; a holder lacking one ends the ask's step refused as declined and drops the message for its asker to put again, skipping that worker until its next pull wait; a level's packages whose declared needs the node lacks are left untested and named unmet, for the asker to place.	2026-10-26 13:35:12 +01:00
jschoubben	79649c3fa9	Run every test step of a check's level after a failure, and let a verdict name every failed test (issue 1921) ... A check ask stopped its level at the first test step that did not pass, so the packages after the changed ones never ran and a check found one fault per round. Every step now runs; the level still fails, and no later level runs (ADR 0484 clause 13). The verdict gains Failures, every failed test with its first line, at most MaxFailures and a count.	2026-10-26 10:57:02 +01:00
jschoubben	403a5d72ab	Keep a level's digest as a list and say an end the state refuses, so a check of a repository with a package named token ends (issue 1930) ... A check ask's answer kept the digest's packages as a map keyed by Go import path; the node runtime refuses a state value with a field ending in a credential word, so the end of any check of mesh-controller (internal/token) was never written and the ask was acked anyway. The level's digest is now delivery.LevelDigest, packages a sorted list of {package, digest}, reading the old map form too. finish logs an end refused every time, writes a small failed end naming the write's error, and the puller gives the ask back instead of acking it when no end could be written.	2026-10-23 23:32:00 +02:00
jschoubben	691c97ec31	Ask a check's digest as the candidate under the runner and plan as any other when the installed module ignores it, as ADR 0535 §2 and §4 judge (issue 1887 A5a)	2026-10-23 16:04:01 +02:00
jschoubben	ba092d543f	Run the levels of one check in one ask after one fetch, keeping nothing under the candidate's runner or a digest without the siblings, as ADR 0525 §3 says a check ask is (issue 1887 A5a)	2026-10-23 15:59:15 +02:00
jschoubben	e1dca0a39f	Release an ask's workspace when its job ends, so a pulled build or check leaves nothing for the sweep (issue 1887 A3go, ADR 0509)	2026-10-23 15:30:32 +02:00
jschoubben	8cd22892a3	Read a node's build capacity from the build module's own setting at every pull, defaulting to the builder's values, so the control-node pulls nothing (issue 1887 A7, ADR 0525 §5)	2026-10-23 15:23:03 +02:00
jschoubben	1f6fc027c0	Run a pulled ask's whole job with a build module's own step tools, kept verdicts taken after its digest, so both build modules run asks one way and their tools stay the hand path (issue 1887 A3, ADR 0525 §3, §8)	2026-10-23 15:22:25 +02:00
