Say a build's directory and a pull request's module directories in the SDK (issue 1233) #39

Issue 1233. R3c's indexer (design 47, ADR 0437 §5) must map a merge's directory trees to modules and fill each candidate's modules. Two layouts lacked a fact:

  • BuildRecord gains path, the module's directory in its repository, as mesh-controller writes it (internal/chain/records.go:100, set at internal/inventory/chain_requests.go:19); empty for a root manifest.
  • A pull message (Forge, kind pull) may carry dirs, the module directories its head changes, and dirs-known; known-and-empty and not-known stay apart. A merged or refused message carrying them is refused. Version stays 1: older readers ignore the keys.

Tests: 1233/AC1 TestBuildRecordPath (captured fixture, path after commit as the encoder writes it), 1233/AC2-AC4 TestForgeDirs. Try build-1792413776232913099 passed (1m6s). A library change: no module moves until R3c's modules pin it.

Transitions

  • 2026-10-19 12:44 (new) → proposed (announced): novox/mesh-sdk#39's head announced
  • 2026-10-19 12:48 proposed → checked (checked): a verdict names this commit and the trunk's head as its trunk commit
  • 2026-10-19 12:48 checked → ready (accepted): the gate passed or warned, and the repository's own check did not fail
  • 2026-10-19 13:17 ready → published (merged): on the trunk its modules follow: merged there, and its walk opened — or nothing for a walk to move
  • 2026-10-19 13:17 published → delivering (go): its walk started: let go by this owner in its group's order, by a person, or on the controller's own path — not a failed walk that carried a later commit for it, after which it waits for a walk of its own commit
  • 2026-10-19 13:27 delivering → held (backup failed): a backup before the send failed, and nothing was sent: nextcloud on novox: did not answer in ten minutes
  • 2026-10-19 13:42 held → delivering (release): the operator, 2026-10-19 ~15:50 in the lead's session on shanks: ask the backups again; nextcloud's bundle restarted at 15:41 and its 429 throttle stopped (issue 1253)
  • 2026-10-19 14:02 delivering → delivered (done): its walk is done, carrying its own commit: every machine of its deploy plan passed, or was left as its policy says

The commit's note under refs/notes/mesh-plan keeps every transition: git log --notes=mesh-plan.
