Opens a research effort: the lab keeps a warm twin of the mesh as it actually runs (catalogue, assignments, settings), so a change is tested against the real mesh through the lab module, not only against beds written to resemble it. Lists what a twin is made of, data, keeping it current, which machine properties matter, cost, and the tool surface. records and index pass; cycle.py fails on main already, on two ADRs both numbered 0175.
