The operator, 2026-11-03: a watcher of a check waited on the delivery gate's merge events and heard the check's failure 15 minutes late ("I'm watching the check, I wonder which event stream to watch"). The definition now starts by naming the part that owns the fact and waiting on its own event (the checker for a check, the delivery gate for a merge, the status view or the node-engine's haves for a delivery, the knowledge base for a record, the operator channel for an answer), falling back to another family only when the tool runner lacks the grant, said with the missing grant. The tool runner's grant of the checker's verdict event follows as its own change.

Round 1 approved bf5ef24e with two word notes (the glossary's 'delivery gate' and 'status view'); 33d25c50 takes them in, and round 2 approved that head.
