Both handed their software the cache password and no login, so they would authenticate as the default user. Read from the pinned images: presenting the login is not enough, since the grant confines a consumer to keys and channels under its login. n8n's pub/sub channels are fixed names (queue mode only) and in its shipped regular mode it opens no cache connection at all; baserow writes keys under names fixed in its code. So neither takes the shared cache: baserow runs the cache its image starts when no REDIS_HOST is given; n8n needs none.
baserow's data directory is 0755, as the image ships it — its own cache runs as another user, who must reach its directory beneath.
baserow's texts no longer name the shared cache.

Proof: mesh-lab two-node bed green at 431627c — baserow said it chose its own cache, the cache challenges for its password, and nothing was refused. A catalogue check in mesh-lab now fails any module that takes the shared cache without presenting its login. Reviewed independently against both images. Companion MRs on multiple-fixes: mesh-controller, mesh-lab, hq.
