A found ended or pending key is skipped and a pulled-in key is created only where no key exists. RecordSentWith and RecordSentUnder set sent_builds = null in their own update of the node row, so a machine delivery 2 has sent is never copied afterwards. These two updates and the copy's own null are the only writes to the column.
Delivery 1 wrote no commit on the key of a pulled-in module, so after the upgrade those modules fell out of SentBuilds. At the start of the lease holder a copy fills every key that names no commit (creating a standing pulled-in key where none stands), overwrites nothing, empties each column it copied, and raises an urgent condition while it fails. Migration 0105 no longer drops node.sent_builds (issue 1112 does).
Every method of builds, build requests, rollouts, merges and assignments reads and writes the chain alone: the else branches that read the tables, the movers and MoveChain with their tests, chain_moved reads, ChainReads and the flags that switched a kind, the store's assignments mirror (KeepAssignmentPlans needs none of it: it uses only the AssignmentMirrored type, mirrors.go, and AssignmentValues, provisioning.go) and its tick, the move code of the controller's start, and ForTest's chain_moved row. The listed store tests of the move go with their functions; the tests of the readers, requests, assignments and plans that lived beside them stay in chain_store_test.go. Tests that replayed old data migrations over the build, assignment and pin tables are removed with the tables. The static test that no plan is written but through SavePlansMoving now reads the plan's chain path.
SentBuilds answers from the keys of the node's assignments that name a commit, known when the node was sent anything and no key says its commit unknown. A send that names its builds writes the commit, build and rollout on each carried module's key (a module nothing assigns gets a standing key marked pulled-in, never a state) and clears what every other key of the node named; a send by hand writes sent-unknown, a time, on every key and clears their commits. A failed write of these fails the record of the send. node.sent_builds is no longer written. The plan pass ends a pulled-in key only when no send carries it.
A wait that ended unmade and whose condition nobody answered is carried by the wait that replaces it, so the operator is never left without the condition for a module still not on its machine, and taking it back, its condition and the orphan sweep read it there. The condition id stays node.module.<id> with the string id. clearOrphaned says a taken-back wait too. TestAnAssignmentWaitingForItsBuildIsOneKeyOfTheAssignmentsBucket enters through the assign verb and reads the key before and after the build's outcome.
A wait for a build is the value of <node>.<module> with state pending and a pending object (id p-<unix nanoseconds>, a string), so every reader that skips a value with a state skips it, and the controller's own lists skip it through Stands. The transitions are compare-and-set on the key's revision (claim, release, settle, repoint, mark); assigning over a wait carries it into the value that stands, applied when it was waiting; a plan pass never overwrites it; one open wait per machine and module, and a key that holds the module refuses a new one. The table is no longer read or written, ForgetEndedPending is gone (no key is removed), and a wait of a machine the store dropped is none. Callers change type only; their conditions are the next issue.
1090/1092: the move tests pick each report by kind and expect three, all already, on the second run. 1090-1093: under the share lock the switch reads the rows again and writes every key whose value differs from its row (and ends an assignment the store dropped) before recording the kind, so an update the old controller made after the first pass is not lost. 1093: route-proxy is pinned at mesh-sdk f185aedb and vendored; the controller uses only the SDK's asks package. KeepAssignmentPlans decides each key by keepStep, which never makes or revives an assignment. AssignmentsMirrorToWrite refuses once the assignments are moved.
A send that records what a machine was sent writes, in the assignment of each module it carried a build of, the build, what it published, the commit, the rollout that sent it and since when: filled where the assignment names nothing, replaced when the commit moved, never blanked by a push by hand. A plan's sends are made as the plan, so they name it, and the plan lists the assignments each send changed with the build and commit before and after, the builds it carried and the steps taken. The builds, plans and node verbs say the links. node.sent_builds is written and read as before; SentBuilds from the assignments follows with the delivery that drops the column. Acceptance 10 is a test that enters by a merge heard and cut into a plan and writes no key by hand.
Once chain_moved records the kind, Assign, Unassign and Assigned write and read the keys <node>.<module>, and every join of the store that read assignments is made from the bucket: where a module runs, what is behind, what a machine awaits, a given value due for replacement, taking a module, and whether a module may be forgotten (refused while a standing assignment names it). An unassignment ends the key with a marker and keeps its earlier values, as it removed the row; no ended or pending mark is written yet. The generation rises with each change, and a seat held by an assignment goes with it: the foreign key from seat_holding is dropped by migration 0104 and the controller says both. The provisioner's plan is kept in the values by a pass of the tick that writes that one field by compare-and-set; the assignment-changed event is said from what the bucket holds, whoever wrote it. The start moves the rows with what each machine was last sent, keeping a plan the mirror put in a value.
Once chain_moved records the kind, a plan is a key of the rollouts bucket under its id and the open batch is the same key in state assembling. A save refuses a copy another save moved since (the plan's own Revision, kept in its value, counts saves) and keeps the merges the record holds, so a copy read before a merge moved cannot lay it back. The merges a batch or walk answers are the record's held field, with the columns the table had; a merge no plan answers stays, flagged, in the record that held it last, or in the record kept for those. A merge moved to a plan is written to the receiving record first and then taken from the giving one; one found in both is read from the one it entered last and repaired at the next cut. Plans and merges are read from a view kept by one watch of the bucket. A bus that does not answer, a lease lost and a key moved are now not-now like the store being away, so a merge whose plan could not be written is held and handed over again, never acknowledged. The start moves release_plan and batched_merge into the bucket, one kind, counted against both tables.
A request is the build's record under the id its outcome will carry, in state asked; the outcome takes its place and keeps the request beside it, so assign, the pending assignments and the planner read the builds bucket alone. The bucket removes no key, so a request past thirty days is not listed instead of deleted. The move folds build_request into the same records (one kind, builds, counted against both tables) and marks the requests never handed over to be asked again once: claimed before it is asked and settled after, so a crash loses the ask rather than making it twice. Also tests the chain buckets' options on a real bus, the assignments' mirror options included.
Once chain_moved records the kind, RecordBuild and every build read go through the chain (reuse key and published added); before that the tables are read as before. The serving controller copies the rows at its start, holding the lease: idempotent per key, rows counted against keys, the largest value measured, a refusal (urgent condition, nothing switched) on a count that differs or a value over the bus's largest, and a re-read when the table took a row meanwhile. ForTest attaches the chain in memory with builds moved; ForTestBefore leaves it unmoved. Build requests, gates and the other kinds are still in their tables.

The composed check of mesh-controller#346 and mesh-host#114 into feat/57-config-and-provisioning was judged by the release branch's controller, which cannot build the node-engine member's validator, so the group could never pass. ADR 0239 §14 has the group's own controller judge when a member moves it; ADR 0358 §2 changes the judge only for a pull request into a release branch. A group member in mesh-controller now judges, with the mesh-host member's validator, built in the isolated judge environment and kept by content; the statuses say the group's controller judged.

`delivery check` runs as a command of its own, where no serving connection exists, so a recheck said its siblings could not be learned ("this controller is not on the bus") and mesh-host#114 was judged without its sibling. groupsAsked now asks through onTheBus, which lends the serving connection or dials one, as the hand-act log does. TestTheRecheckVerbAsksMeshDeliveryOnABusOfItsOwn drives the verb against a real responder.

A recheck rebuilds the pull request without its head branch name, so the sibling lookup found no group and said nothing: mesh-host#114's recheck was judged without its sibling. With no branch name, the group is the one whose member_details hold the pull request; an older mesh-delivery says the siblings could not be learned. TestReplay867Recheck replays it.

A mesh-host change and a mesh-controller change that need each other could not both pass their own checks: each read the other at its base. The check now asks mesh-delivery for the group's open siblings into a base of the same name, reads each at its head merged onto its base, builds the judge from a controller sibling's merge in the isolated judge environment keyed on its inputs, and names the siblings in the verdict. With no answer from mesh-delivery the verdict says it could not learn them; a pull request with no sibling is checked as before. TestReplay867 replays the failure.

Under a module's own record (its manifest's, or its irreplaceable data's), every
move waited for a person's push, even one that only changed a tools bundle: the
database server stayed behind on ace on 2026-10-15 although its walk said it
recreated none of its containers. ADR 0377 lets such a move roll out.
A move is judged per machine against the build that machine was last sent: it
goes when no container, mounted file, data path, data declaration, provider or
(for a module with data) long-running process changes. A person's record, the
bus and any move that cannot be judged still wait. The walk keeps per machine
which way each recorded module went and why, says it in its note and log, and
status names a machine behind with `push <node>` only for a move that waits.

The rule 5 test of ADR 0240 (one provider down, three consumers, one
condition) and its healthy-provider twin need the store and skip without
one; unlisted, the merge check passed them without running them.
A build made from the source every machine running it runs is marked sent
and sent nothing, yet the tier's wait asked each machine for a report after
that marking. None follows, and the walk waited for ever. Each machine is
now judged by whether it answered its last send, the one whose builds made
the build no move.

A release's own gates held its other sends back for ever; an adopted send
lost what the machine ran before; a kept send could grow a build no gate
passed; a take-over matched by commit alone; a rest that went silent ended
done. The node-engine and the resolver still go one machine at a time, since
a fault that cuts a machine off shows only as silence.

A merge built every moved module a second time although its check had judged
the same tree (issue 649). The check now builds into the scratch namespace
under a reuse key (source fingerprint plus the builder's own digest), and the

building, saying per module why when it cannot (novox/hq ADR 0350).

A Servarr app's API key, an indexer's key and a downloader's password are values the provider's
software holds; the pair path made a random value for every consumer of them, sealed it to both ends
and reported success, and the provider refused it. An offer may now say `"credential": {"issued-by":
"outside"}`: SecretFor never makes a value for it, the plan reads such a pair as given or not given
and sends the consumer no credential file until a person gives it, without refusing its machine;
remakeShared and SharedSecretFor never make a provider's own secret issued outside either.
`secret accept <provider's node> <provider module> <provision>` seals one value to every consumer that
binds the provision from that provider, the provider and the operator, under one generation; the
per-pair form is refused for such a provision, and rotate names the accept. A consumer may wait for a
provision's credential: the controller excuses the wait only when the store bears it out, and its
needs-operator condition names the one accept line.

A registered manifest carries no build, so mesh-tools' build.on naming the
SDK's package and every bundle's toolchain were edges only before a module was
first built: mesh-sdk 0.1.14 planned "sent nowhere". The relation now reads a
package base from the recorded name@version against the package the mesh holds,
and the toolchain from the bundles the resolved manifest keeps. Only records the
mesh already keeps are read, so it holds for every module built before it and a
rollback reads the same records. Replay R614.

A delivery plan made while another walk built a module reads it whole and names it; the walk, cut later,
finds none of the changed files in the build source that build recorded and moves nothing. Its record named
no module, so mesh-delivery read 'matched what runs' as 'never built', stopped the delivery and asked the
operator about a change already on every machine. The walk now says each such module in delivery.unchanged,
with why; its modules keep meaning what it builds.
The fix (#174, hq ADR 0266 §7) refuses an outcome built from a repository other than the module's
registered one; nothing replayed the photo app's outage that showed why. The replay uses only what
the controller had before the fix, so the prover can show it fails there and passes on the fix.

The replay holds the operator's acceptance: a build sent after the resolver
stopped answering is not put back for that fault, and a restarted engine's
undecided statement does not forget it. Written only with what the controller
had before mesh-controller #179, so mesh-lab's prover lays it over the commit
before: it fails there and passes on the fix and on main.
The resolver's manifest test took either binding until the catalogue's main
bound once; mesh-catalog #161 (105cc7c0) did, so bind-dynamic is refused.
Two catalogue merges acted on in reverse order left the fixed module planned at
the commit without the fix. The replay uses only what the controller had before

A module with a trusted mergeable file had its whole layer refused through the
settings verb, because such a file took any key. Once a module's files name the
keys they take (ADR 0326), each file takes only those, so only a trusted file's
named keys are the terminal's: betterbird's tags, in a file nothing trusts, is set
through the verb, while its accounts and identities stay the terminal's or the
operator's warrant. A module whose files name no keys keeps the whole-layer rule.
Making every soft dependency a provision made it hard: a mesh without influxdb could not assign
grafana, and one with influxdb in its catalogue would install it for grafana. A requirement may now
be written {"name": ..., "optional": true}. It resolves as a hard one when a provider is assigned or
reachable, and is otherwise absent: never refused, nothing installed for it. Its binding, credential
and only-when-bound files are left out, its ${bound:...|default:...} placeholders take their
defaults, the module check refuses one that could render empty, and plan and node list it unbound.

ParseManifest also reads stored builds again: a build's manifest at a
commit, the gate, a release, a module put back. betterbird's builds from
before its accounts file named its keys would have become uncomposable
there, so a send to g14 or shanks could fail and a rollback be refused.
The refusal now runs in module check, module add, a build taken in, the
builder and the merge gate's registration, and a file is no longer
reported by both §2 and §3.
