Check the Go binding without a vendor directory (issue 1304, step 1 of 2) #44

Issue 1304, step 1 of 2. Changes only go/merge-check.sh, identical to the script change in #43; go/vendor stays.

The script strips -mod=vendor from the toolchain's GOFLAGS, uses -mod=readonly, sets GOPRIVATE=git.novox.be, and runs go mod download and go mod verify (fails by module name on a go.sum mismatch). Step 2 is #43, which removes go/vendor and is judged by this check once this merges (main's old script fails it with inconsistent vendoring).

Locally: go mod verify, go vet, go vet -tags integration and the unit suite are green under -mod=readonly.

  • 2026-10-19 20:05 (new) → proposed (announced): novox/mesh-sdk#44's head announced
  • 2026-10-19 20:13 proposed → checked (checked): a verdict names this commit and the trunk's head as its trunk commit
  • 2026-10-19 20:13 checked → ready (accepted): the gate passed or warned, and the repository's own check did not fail
  • 2026-10-19 20:24 ready → published (merged): on the trunk its modules follow: merged there, and its walk opened — or nothing for a walk to move
  • 2026-10-19 20:24 published → delivering (go): its walk started: let go by this owner in its group's order, by a person, or on the controller's own path — not a failed walk that carried a later commit for it, after which it waits for a walk of its own commit
  • 2026-10-19 20:45 delivering → delivered (done): its walk is done, carrying its own commit: every machine of its deploy plan passed, or was left as its policy says

The commit's note under refs/notes/mesh-plan keeps every transition: git log --notes=mesh-plan.
