Third review: a person's stopping a unit the mesh also held stopped leaves no trace, so it is started
again on removal; the home server's restored weekly timer would start a scrub of about 46 hours at once.
A masked or since-changed unit is left alone, and a failed restore waits.
Unassigning the zfs module would leave the home server's pool with no scrub schedule: ADR 0118 never
starts a unit on the way out, so the distribution's timer the module held stopped would stay stopped.
The host now records what it declared beside what it found, and gives back only what the mesh's own
declaration stopped.
The operator's decision of 2026-10-09: execute runs any command as an
account that can become root without a person, so the control-node stops
offering it now, and every node marks it as needing approval once the
mark exists. To-be 41 gains WP7 for the seat and the shell module.
A merge to a shared repository moved every module that read it, in a gated
tier each (issue 338). The operator's rule maps a change onto the artifacts
whose build source it touches and adds only modules with a build dependency
on a changed artifact; sharing a repository is no dependency. Supersedes in
part ADR 0162 decision 1 (the packages kind) and ADR 0238 decision 3 (whole
repository and context reads); adds build source to the glossary.
The record said its data is still copied; the shipped follow-up backs it up as this controller reads
it and lists an unplaceable line rather than failing the machine.
The record claimed a left-out module kept what the machine holds for it and that an entry's unknown key
was read like a top-level one; neither is true of the merged controller.
Dropping an unknown key would run a module without something its manifest says. Also name the check by
what a key is about, narrow the listing to one machine, and say how to roll back below this record.
The operator asked for one place that lists every module's preferences and each machine's value, and
for a list of the values the catalogues hard-code that should become preferences.
A stored manifest read strictly would fail the whole catalogue after a controller rollback, and a node
called default would lose its layer. Also scope the default, retire tunable, and list the new checks.
A ${setting:} nothing set failed composition, and settings refused a key no file asked
for yet, so no order of changes could add a setting to a running module. A manifest may
now default a preference; the operator's own value still has none.
The review of mesh-controller#150 found the controller now makes an
assignment after the person's act, which no record decided. Decide it,
cite it from the glossary and to-be 45, and correct issue 325's account
of what is settled where and what is sent.
The SAS sentence now holds for modes with spaces, a hung read is unhealthy in two to three minutes, not
one, every USB drive is told sat, and the limits of a stuck read are recorded.
After the second review: smartd is dropped as a second reader that could wake or keep awake the drives,
a stuck read or a drive not looked at is unhealthy, a drive asleep for a day is HIGH and never unhealthy,
and a board chip's maximum says nothing of a fan. The never-woken and hourly claims now say exactly what
holds.
Review found that ADR 0253 let any process at the operator's session release,
stop or start a delivery in the operator's name, and that its tokens, fallback
words and quiet warnings failed on the paths that go wrong.
Rule 4 now matches the module after review: the NVMe temperature bit, old-age attributes, a fan's minimum
or alarm and a board chip's limits raise nothing; a stale watch does. The standby caveat is recorded: no
mesh tool sees a drive's spin-down timer, so spinning drives are read hourly.
The store's tools counted 23.8 GiB nothing records: copied bases the sweep could never
let go of, platforms a let-go index left behind, and images from before the mesh. Package
retention read no lockfile, so it kept versions by age alone.
The operator read the reworded popup and could not tell whether to act, and was
sent to open a session to act at all. The record now decides the verdict, the
quiet rule and the path by which a notification is answered.
A machine's temperatures, fans and drive health were read by the laptop's vendor module only; the
machines' 20 drives were watched by nothing. The sensors module reads them on every machine, holds no
seat until a caller must reach it by role, and says a hardware fault through ADR 0240's health until the
machine judges its own hardware. To-be 48 gains §11 and phase G.
The operator chose a generic boundary for the bar: a block is said in terms no bar
owns and rendered by the seat's holder, placed only where the machine reports the
hardware, and generic hardware comes from the generic seat's module, not a vendor's.
To-be 42 records it; ADR 0208 points to it.
