The first open question answered yes, as the operator directed: overlay name <address> <name> records the statement, namesInTheMesh answers for named not-yet-enrolled peers (one reading: hosts fact, container hosts, resolver), and enrolment verifies the word — a different name under a named key refuses legibly (mesh-controller #73). dnsmasq is taken on novox with the daemon.json written into, never over (mesh-catalog #106 — the 098 class caught in the pre-take diff). Live proof: ace/shanks/g14/novox all resolve, wildcards included, the-dns-port seat held.
