Plans of a branch superseded each other by when they were made; the
catch-up's late plan of an older merge took over a newer one, once a
security fix to the forge's module. Recorded with the fix in review.
Records the 2026-10-09 outage on the control node: what was measured
(the unit ran, the private address refused; a restarted node-engine's
undecided statement cleared the network condition and its reopening
dated the fault after the send), what the reproduction showed of
bind-dynamic, what is still guessed, and the fixes in review.
The confirmation review: hq requires only mesh/repo-check, so a watcher
that looked for mesh/merge-gate alone would never have said this
repository's own unchecked pull request. And the delivery domain's own
condition, a delivery held past its bound, says it rather than a provider
standing.
An ordinary line meets the generic verb's reading forms and never a
terminal-only command (node account and node agent-account by ADR 0266,
token, operator, a secret's export); a terminal line drops ADR 0266's
served mark, so it reads as the terminal. How it is checked says the
withholding tests search base64 too and fail when what they guard goes,
and the control-node refusal is tested through the acts.
- §3: the node-engine vouches and decides nothing; deadline first, other
namespaces refused, each account bounded and answered busy; the subject
is the machine's own in the writers table.
- §4: phase 1 refuses the agent account (phase 2 answers it); an ordinary
settings line takes the settings verb's path; the controller's module is
assigned at the terminal only, so the terminal does not follow assign;
'no wider than today' holds only while its two measured facts hold.
- §5: every line is a call, followed to its answer; 'nothing ran' only of
a line nobody took, otherwise 'not known' with the call; the answer is
its asker's alone.
- §7: after the four merge, the operator assigns mesh-cli to every node.
- How it is checked: each claim with its test or measurement, the
MESH_VERB refusal in mesh-cli named a courtesy, and the sudo and
agent-account facts read on the control-node today.
The forge's announcer reads only repositories whose update time moved; a
pull request opened after its push does not move it. Located in the forge
module, with the fix (mesh-catalog) and how it is checked.
Found in the review of the picom settings: a backend of xrender"; write-pid-path = "… adds an option of
the caller's. The two files marked trusted false on main are judged (user-dirs.dirs open, dunstrc not),
and typed settings validated at the verb and quoted at render are proposed; until then nothing new goes
trusted false.
The record said a merge needs a person; the forge requires no approval and
the merge tool merges once the checks pass, so nothing enforces the
operator's yes. What still remains now says so, and that the restart fix
counts from when the controller first saw the search pending. Item 10 and
routes A and B describe the follow-ups of the review of 2026-10-09.
The operator reports picom leaving a chat window stale after a workspace switch before, never recorded.
The diagnosis now names the graphics stack, puts picom first among the candidates, and makes the first
step at the next empty reminder turning compositing off, which loses nothing; a Betterbird restart comes
after, refused while a message is being written unless the operator says yes.
Records the symptom, what four reminders raised from a throw-away profile showed (drawn every time, at
depth 32), what that rules out, the candidates left, and what to measure at the next real reminder.
Status diagnosing: the cause is not known.
The records send the operator to "the controller's terminal", and on the
control-node `mesh-controller` is not a command: the controller is a mesh
process with its own account and environment, and nothing puts anything on
PATH. The record proposes mesh-cli, a module on every node whose program
asks the node-engine over a local socket; the node-engine vouches for the
account from the kernel and asks the controller on its node's own subject;
the controller runs the line as the terminal only for the operator's account
where no agent can be that account. The glossary gains mesh-cli, nox (its
zsh alias) and the controller's terminal.
Item 10 said two minutes; the engine's bound is 15, with a two-minute limit
inside it still to settle. What still remains now names a build from another
repository registering a module (mesh-controller 174), the forge's tools
changing its protection (mesh-catalog 153), and the urgent condition every
engine restart raises (mesh-controller 175).
The routes found around the agent account since the record was written are
closed on main (the store's reader, places and served keys, what every session
obeys, execute withheld on the control node); the record names them, drops the
store gap it said kept the boundary from holding, and says plainly what still
remains, first the login shell's execute on the other nodes. To-be 36 §9 gains
the prerequisites and the order the parts go out in.
The re-review closed the command verb to reads, moved enrolment to the
controller's terminal, widened what the node-engine judges, and found the
store's reader able to read every secret; say each, and that the boundary is
not in force until the store is fixed.
The review found ways round the record: a verb that set the accounts, root
following a link below a home, a tool reading any path as the operator, a
restore written beside the agent's files, a stale verdict passing. Record each
bound, the exact ways judged and not judged, the guard on every tool and its
record's limits, and a rollout order the guard does not block.
The operator chose this remedy for ADR 0259 section 8: an agent there could
become root through the operator account's sudo and docker group, and read the
tool runner's credential. Record the node fact, the node-engine's judgement
the self-check reads, the guard, and how a session starts; issue 333 holds
the measured symptom and to-be 36 the design.
The confirmation review found the home scope wrote the operator's own
~/.claude on nodes where the agent is the operator, and that text put
straight on the bus at the mesh or node scope still renders; record both,
the fix for the first, and what closes the second.
Shared agent text is the terminal's until a surface of the operator's own
updates it, the wider controller rule stands, and a password is not a
setting: 342 names every module that takes one through a setting.
The operator accepted both on 2026-10-09. Design 47's state table gains covered and what ends a held
delivery by itself, and its group the wait for a composed check and the lift; design 45's signals table
gains S17 and its planned bus step says the wait is told at once. The glossary's delivery entry names its
six final states.
Decision 1 named S6 for a failed new-module build; S6 is a lost build ask. Such a build is said by one
line in the controller's log until its module is assigned. A module on one machine never gets a 'rest'
step, so covered never reaches it. The forge module's tests run in the catalogue's TypeScript check, #151.
