Part 4: the tests of the list's reading and of the controller's commands on it (hq ADR 0348 clause 7, issue 661).

The list itself, read strictly (catalogue/predefined.go); the controller keeps a catalogue trunk build's list in its store when its commit's generation is larger than the one kept (migration 0098), so an older build's list heard later never replaces a newer one, and loads it with its store (hq ADR 0348 clause 7, issue 661). Part 2 of 2: the new files.

Mesh and node config may hold values only for keys on a fixed, reviewed list (hq ADR 0348 clause 7, design 57 package K2, issue 661). A build reads predefined.json at the root of the repository at the commit it builds and carries it with the commit's generation; module check and the merge gate read it from the tree. (Part 1 of 2: the changes to existing files.)

A symlinked files/ or a symlinked directory under it let module check, the merge
gate and module add read a template from outside the repository tree, and a
symlink no template names passed them while the build's packing refuses it
(review of mesh-controller#313). Every entry under files/ must now be a plain
directory or file, and templates are read through an os.Root of the module's
directory.

The facts snapshot, the take preview and the settings history read a layer as it
was set; tests that place give the layer through LayerOf.

A file's text may live in files/<name> beside the manifest instead of inline,
so modules can move their files out of module.json (ADR 0349 clause 2, issue
654). The build packs files/ into the module's declared archive and reads each
template back from the packed bytes, proven by the digest, into content: the
manifest the mesh holds, composition and the node-engine stay as they are.
module check, the merge gate and module add read templates from the tree beside
the manifest, so a change to a template alone is judged. A file naming both
template and content, a template outside files/, a missing one, and a held
manifest that still names one are refused by name.

Review of #283: a drain whose replacement was withdrawn held the agent for
ever with its health green; the gate trusted the engine's until; a machine
of the rest waiting at the bound read as silent and its apply time held the
wait; an unknown mesh-builder word exited 0; plan said nothing of a busy an
older engine is not sent; and a node with a report and no send broke the
reading of every last report (the store test's NULL).

The artifact store takes writes from anything on its network, so a record
planted under another merge's key could have been registered: the walk now
takes a scratch build only when the build seat's own verdict for one of its
pull requests names its key and digests. Deleting by digest also took builds
another check shared (review of #311; novox/hq ADR 0350).

Two tier tests relied on the two-minute settle to keep a module unjudged; the
witness window and the gate's spacing now hold it. A healthy reading taken
before the controller's floor counted no pass, so a dip after it did not take
the two-minute pass away (novox/hq ADR 0352 decision 3).

A merge built every moved module a second time although its check had judged
the same tree (issue 649). The check now builds into the scratch namespace
under a reuse key (source fingerprint plus the builder's own digest), and the
walk of the trunk commit copies a build of the same key by digest instead of
building, saying per module why when it cannot (novox/hq ADR 0350).

The operator wants these gates as fast as they can be: counting readings only after
two minutes added about 80 s to every node-engine rollout for no safety. Count
from the send, pass on the third healthy reading, and pass a module healthy at
every reading at two minutes on what it has (novox/hq ADR 0352).

The controller runs on one machine, so three readings over two minutes guarded no
other machine and held every walk behind it. Judge each module by its own rule:
one reading for the controller and the tool runner once the node-engine's witness
window has ended, one for mesh-delivery, three for the node-engine and the
resolver with the first two minutes after the send (novox/hq ADR 0351). The
gate's verdict names the rule it applied.
{a:1, b:2, c:3, password:hunter2} was proposed with "+ password: hunter2" in its Details: the router
withheld the line unnamed and Approve set a value the operator never saw (ADR 0347 §1, §3, §4). Each line is
now judged as the router judges it, masked under the content rule and whole under the secret rule; a line
refused is said "+ password (value withheld)", and any line the router would still refuse is refused at
propose in the controller's words, never echoing a secret-shaped key. SDK at mesh-sdk 5933eb7 (no two asks

Rebased on #305: Approve now sends the layer by a walk, so the summary's "takes it at its next push" was
false. The summary says it is set and sent at once by a walk to where it reaches, one machine at a time,
each judged; the rest of what Approve does (onApprove) leads the Details, beside every key whole.
The review of #304: with more than three keys the ask showed only the names of the rest, a long value was
cut without a word, and the Details held no key, so Approve bound values the operator never saw. The
Details now list every key uncut — masked, and whole in WholeDetails for a channel that proves who
answers — before who proposed it and the fingerprint; the glance says what it cut. Vendors mesh-sdk at

The operator could not read the settings proposals on the phone: the change, the fingerprint and a how-to
paragraph in one wall of plain text, and the values masked as ‹path› and ‹address›, so the approval was
blind.
The ask is now a summary of what changes where ("Changes 3 setting(s) of mounts on shanks; approved, the
layer is set at once and shanks takes it at its next push."), then at most three points, one key each (more
keys: the first two and the names of the rest). Who proposed it, the fingerprint and how to read it whole
are its Details, which the router notes after the answers. The change is carried twice: under the content
rule, and whole (asks.Ask.Whole), shown only on a channel that proves who answers, a value shaped like a
secret withheld in both (from the earlier work on issue 383, #202).

The forge writes every package tarball at its public name, and its

Without a build on the gate, a merge walk sending the machine a new build of
the module was read as the settings send's own report. A refusal for a last
send not known, or a kept build gone, never clears, so retrying it every
tick held the walk of waiting builds; it now fails the walk with why. Every

A judged send carries what waits on its machine, which would have released

The operator's rule: a wait is never hard-coded, at most a default is configured. The push verb takes `wait`; without it the controller's setting `push-wait` (module default 2m) applies; a setting that cannot be read waits for nothing, as a push did before, and says so.

The seat ran `push <node> --wait 0`, so a push's call ended at "sent" and nobody learned whether the machine applied it. A Servarr app's API key, an indexer's key and a downloader's password are values the provider's
software holds; the pair path made a random value for every consumer of them, sealed it to both ends
and reported success, and the provider refused it. An offer may now say `"credential": {"issued-by":
"outside"}`: SecretFor never makes a value for it, the plan reads such a pair as given or not given
and sends the consumer no credential file until a person gives it, without refusing its machine;
remakeShared and SharedSecretFor never make a provider's own secret issued outside either.
`secret accept <provider's node> <provider module> <provision>` seals one value to every consumer that
binds the provision from that provider, the provider and the operator, under one generation; the
per-pair form is refused for such a provision, and rotate names the accept. A consumer may wait for a
provision's credential: the controller excuses the wait only when the store bears it out, and its
needs-operator condition names the one accept line.

A registered manifest carries no build, so mesh-tools' build.on naming the
SDK's package and every bundle's toolchain were edges only before a module was
first built: mesh-sdk 0.1.14 planned "sent nowhere". The relation now reads a
package base from the recorded name@version against the package the mesh holds,
and the toolchain from the bundles the resolved manifest keeps. Only records the
mesh already keeps are read, so it holds for every module built before it and a
rollback reads the same records. Replay R614.

A delivery plan made while another walk built a module reads it whole and names it; the walk, cut later,
finds none of the changed files in the build source that build recorded and moves nothing. Its record named
no module, so mesh-delivery read 'matched what runs' as 'never built', stopped the delivery and asked the
operator about a change already on every machine. The walk now says each such module in delivery.unchanged,
with why; its modules keep meaning what it builds.
The fix (#174, hq ADR 0266 §7) refuses an outcome built from a repository other than the module's
registered one; nothing replayed the photo app's outage that showed why. The replay uses only what
the controller had before the fix, so the prover can show it fails there and passes on the fix.

The replay holds the operator's acceptance: a build sent after the resolver
stopped answering is not put back for that fault, and a restarted engine's
undecided statement does not forget it. Written only with what the controller
had before mesh-controller #179, so mesh-lab's prover lays it over the commit
before: it fails there and passes on the fix and on main.
The resolver's manifest test took either binding until the catalogue's main
bound once; mesh-catalog #161 (105cc7c0) did, so bind-dynamic is refused.
Since ADR 0276 the earlier merge waits in a queued batch with no modules, and the
replay skipped it, so its pass on main proved nothing. The replay now ends the
later merge's walk and has another repository's merge heard, which cuts the batch,
and fails on any plan of the two merges left standing with nothing planned.
Two catalogue merges acted on in reverse order left the fixed module planned at
the commit without the fix. The replay uses only what the controller had before
Listed among the store tests, so a check without a database cannot pass its skip.
